COVID

Let's address the elephant in the room, because COVID isn't a joke. Fortunately, I don't know anyone in my immediate family and close circle of friends who have tested positive and I hope you and your loved ones are just as safe. Prior to COVID, I was mildly a germaphobe and now I am an extreme germaphobe. During our session I will be wearing a mask to make sure you and your family feel safe and comfortable while practicing social distancing. Please reach out if there are any other steps I can take in order to make you feel even more at ease!

Wardrobe Tips

Don’t match, strategically coordinate. Stick to a color combination for your family to work with. We don’t want everyone to match perfectly or wear nothing but a single block of color, but we also don’t want everyone wearing different colors and patterns.

Avoid patterns, aim for earth tones, textures and solid colors. These are the most classic and timeless wardrobe pieces and will guarantee your outfits are still in style years from now. It’s also best to strive for layers in your clothing to provide visual interest and movement.

Fitted is best. While flowy articles of clothing for girls are fantastic, in general boys should aim for fitted clothing. Avoid baggy jeans or loose-fitted shirts.

We want your session to be enjoyable and fun for everyone involved. If your kid’s clothing is uncomfortable for them to wear, it will show in their expression and won’t be nearly as fun. If you’re planning an outfit outside of what the children are used to, I’d suggest breaking into them a few days in advance to get them used to the feeling of wearing those clothes.

There will be a mix of pavement, rocks and dirt ground. Heels may sink, so flat shoes are best! If you really need the extra height or look of the heels, consider either bringing an extra pair of flats or wearing wedges.
