Owner. Boss Babe. Human Microphone. Professional Wedding Guest & Third Wheeler.

Salutations!

I'm Kortney, an enthusiastic, energetic, and eccentric human being. I've been photographing weddings for about 5 years now which is so freaking amazing because I never imagined myself to have the talent and love for it. When I was in elementary, I was fantasizing the idea of being a heart surgeon (whaaaat)?!

I'm all for capturing moments that not only tell your story, but embrace individuality, showcase creativity, and illustrate the love you share.

I'm all for capturing moments that not only tell your story, but embrace individuality, showcase creativity, and illustrate the love you share.

Let's get to know each other

& see if we're a good fit.

I'll start first,

random facts because facts are fun.

My personality

The majority of people know that I am adventurous and bubbly. The minority of people know me as a person who loves the comfort of her room, scoring a major shopping steal, and laughing hysterically at herself out of the blue.

If I weren't a photographer

I'd probably be some sort of motivational speaker for high school students or a botanist.

Because I am a photographer

I get to be a super freelancer. While I am out photographing amazing couples on the weekend, on the weekday I get to occasionally surround myself with university students and empower japanese high school students.

My philosophy

behind my work revolves around the idea of impermanence. Every second that passes by, we are constantly changing by our experiences.

I have traveled

to France, Japan, Vietnam, Mexico, and places in the United States (Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Louisiana and New York)

It's confusing

but I like to plan things but let things organically happen. It's like setting an expectation with a lot of wiggle room.

I have an Art Degree

from the University of California Santa Barbara. It has nothing to do with being a photographer, but feel free to ask me about printmaking, papermaking, book arts and contemporary artists.

My hobbies

is trying to not kill my propagated succulents and current plants. I am also a voracious reader when it comes to thriller. Oh and I dabble in film photography and recently purchased an instant pot.

My favorite

human is steve. we met at the airport in japan.

Let's take a trip to my inbox & make some freakin' magic!

Enough about me, tell me why you two tolerate each other!
